HomeServe has appointed Thomas Rebel as Managing Director of its newly-formed UK installations business “HomeServe Connect”.
The move is part of a strategy by the company to develop a competitive, reliable and customer-focused challenger in two key UK markets – the boiler installations market, valued at around £3 billion annually, and the emerging smart and connected home market.
Rebel was HomeServe’s former Customer Director and has held executive roles previously at Virgin Money and Bank of America. He will report to Greg Reed, Chief Marketing Officer of HomeServe Membership Ltd in the UK.
“Thomas has been an instrumental part of our customer focused strategy, and this experience, combined with his business acumen, makes him the perfect fit to lead HomeServe Connect.” said Reed. “We want to make life easier for our customers and the products and services offered by HomeServe Connect will be integral to this.
“Our ambition is to establish Connect as a significant force in the industry, attracting new customers and franchise partners across the UK”, said Rebel. “Together with a growing network of best-in-class installations businesses and boiler and smart thermostat installations, we are confident that we can capitalise on new market opportunities and offer long-term value to HomeServe and our customers.”
In partnership with a range of established UK-based companies, the division has already developed a network of 15 HomeServe-branded franchises across England, Scotland and Wales. More are expected over the next 12 months.
The growing network of franchises offer a range of domestic home heating services including boiler installations, boiler servicing, boiler repairs, emergency boiler repairs, power flushing, appliance services and smart thermostat installations.
