There are just a couple of days left to enter the HIP Learner of the Year 2024 competition and the 2024 HIP Female Skills Competition, with entries closing at Midnight on Thursday 30th November.
Level 2 and 3 plumbing students have until midnight this Thursday, 30th November, to secure their spot at these events. The HIP Learner of the Year contest is now in its fifteenth year.
In the HIP Learner of the Year competition contestants will compete in six regional heats across England and Wales, starting in January, leading to the grand finale. The competition’s Head Judge, Jerry Whiteley from the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), will assess the competitors on various practical tasks.
The competition is supported by a number of firms including Wolseley Plumb & Parts, Milwaukee, Aalberts IPS, Kingspan, Stelrad, Triton, WaterSafe, Wilo, Snickers, Talon, The Worshipful Company of Plumbers, Yorkshire Copper Tube, FIX Radio and CIPHE.
There are also just two days left to enter the 2024 HIP Female Skills Competition, with entries closing at Midnight on Thursday 30th November.
The event celebrates and supports the next generation of female talent in the plumbing and heating industry.
The competition, which open to Level 2 and 3 plumbing & heating learners, offers female learners the opportunity to compete in a live practical installation, showcasing their skills and competing for impressive prizes.
Each regional winner and runner-up will progress to the Grand Final, where they have the opportunity to gain recognition as a finalist or winner and win fantastic prizes.
The competition is supported by leading industry names including Grohe (Headline Sponsor), Aalberts IPS, CT1, Grundfos, Kingspan, Milwaukee, Stelrad, Viessmann, WD-40, Wolseley Plumb & Parts, Snickers, Talon, The Worshipful Company of Plumbers, Yorkshire Copper Tube, Fix Radio and the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
This competition is also judged by Jerry Whiteley, Technical Manager at the CIPHE.
