JG Speedfit reveals ‘20 Grand in your Hand’ winner

Jordon Puddefoot, a Milton Keynes-based plumber has been selected as the winner of JG Speedfit’s 20 Grand in your Hand (20GIYH) competition from tens of thousands of entrants. The winning ticket was purchased at Wolseley Plumb and Parts in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

JG Speedfit launched the 6-month 20GIYH promotional campaign involving its best-selling product, the 15mm Equal Elbow, back in February 2023. The Equal Elbows were made available in specially branded packs of 10 at stockists for the duration of the campaign. Each pack had a unique code allowing installers to enter the competition.

Jordon is a qualified plumber with over 10 years’ experience working for L & R Plumbing and Heating, a family-run business established over 40 years ago by Les Bullock, entered the 20GIYH competition and like many others with the hope of winning £20,000.

“Whilst on my way to visit my future father-in-law in hospital I received a call from Mike Riseley, RWC’s UK & Ireland Sales Director, to inform me that I was the winner of the 20GIYH competition. It was an unexpected call but very welcomed,” said Jordon.

He also shared how he was going to spend the money, “My fiancé and I are getting married in March 2024, so we will be using the money towards paying for the wedding and honeymoon.

“I have used JG Speedfit products for most of my career as they are easy to install and reliable products that I can’t fault. I use Speedfit fittings and pipe most frequently for first fixes in bathrooms and heating systems, as well as their stop ends to test pipework and fittings,” said Jordon.

On 7th September 2023, Jordon accompanied by his apprentice, Josh Hawkins, were given a tour of RWC’s UK state-of-the-art factory and testing laboratory where JG Speedfit products are made, followed by an official presentation of the £20,000 prize.

In addition to the main £20,000 prize, installers were entered into a monthly Tech Bundle draw. Each prize was worth £1000 and a total of six tech bundles were given away, ranging from TV Cinemas to Gamer bundles and Apple products.

“It’s a privilege to be able to give back to hard-working installers across the UK. The 20GIYH campaign was a resounding success and the perfect opportunity to reward our loyal installers with monthly prizes and the ultimate reward of £20,000 at the end of the campaign,” said Mike Riseley, RWC’s UK & Ireland Sales Director.
