Gas Safety Week 2016

Gas Safety Week 2016

The sixth incarnation of Gas Safety Week – coordinated by Gas Safe Register – will run from September 19th to 25th and will see organisations from across the UK working together to raise awareness of the dangers of poorly maintained gas appliances, which can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

As always, installers are being encouraged to do their bit. More than 5,000 organisations supported Gas Safety Week 2015.

Spread the message
Here are some of the reasons why businesses take part:

  • Corporate social responsibility – help protect your customers and save lives. Carbon monoxide poisoning affects over a thousand people each year and can be fatal
  • You can use the free gas safety materials as part of your own advertising campaign
  • All supporters appear on the website, which could help to improve your brand awareness

When you pledge your support, you’ll be emailed a free toolkit, which includes the Gas Safety Week logo, social media updates, articles, images, web banners, a press release kit and PDFs of the leaflet and poster. You can also order free hard copies of the leaflet and poster via the link on the email. If you supported last year’s Gas Safety Week, you don’t need to pledge again – you’ll be sent a toolkit for this year’s event as a matter of course.

To pledge your support and gain access to the free materials designed to help you promote gas safety and keep your customers and employees safe, visit gassafetyweek.co.uk
