Daikin expands network with three more Sustainable Home Centres

Daikin UK has opened the doors of three new Sustainable Home Centres, making its national network 33-strong.

To be a Sustainable Home Centre is the top tier of Daikin Sustainable Home Network membership – an opportunity for specialist renewable heating businesses to step up and lead the movement towards a low carbon future, by opening a state-of-the-art heat pump showroom and training facility, jointly funded by Daikin.

The latest openings are in St. Ives, in partnership with Airway; in Shrewsbury, in partnership with Farr & Harris; and in Fareham, in partnership with Evolution Eco Homes.

Iain Bevan, Commercial Manager – Heating & Renewables at Daikin UK, commented: “Collaboration is key on the road to net zero, and our Sustainable Home Centres act as hubs where we all come together to drive progress.

“These latest additions follow a busy start to the year across our network. We’re proud to be supporting Evolution Eco Homes, Farr & Harris and Airway as together, we can tackle the green skills shortage and make a significant contribution towards our national net zero targets.”

Amid growing demand for heat pumps – boosted by the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and removal of VAT on heat pumps – homeowners throughout the country can use their local Daikin Sustainable Home Centre to familiarise themselves with air source heat pump technology and identify the best solution for their home, before being partnered with a trusted local installer.

As well as winning projects and sourcing products via the centres, installers can access training, resources and stock to help them diversify into renewable heating solutions – and to ensure the long-term competitiveness of their businesses as fossil fuels are phased out.

Each of the three new centres invited homeowners, installers, housing associations and government representatives to celebrate their opening and recognise the important role they can play in driving the adoption of renewable heating systems.

Suella Braverman, QC MP for Fareham attended the opening of Evolution Eco Homes and said: “Evolution Eco Homes has an excellent range of renewable heating systems, an expert team of installers and an admirable commitment to saving the planet.

“It’s fantastic to see this pioneering technology being installed right here in Fareham. The team’s commitment to acting on climate change will aid many local residents in transforming their homes, saving money on energy bills, and supporting our essential journey towards net zero.”

Installers who join Daikin’s Sustainable Home Network can benefit from free, hands-on-tools training at its centres around the UK, to develop their heat pump installation and commissioning expertise.

Other benefits of joining the network include dedicated technical support, sales ready leads, business support and special offers.
