As part of ongoing efforts to raise money for nominated charity Simon’s Heroes, a Bristan employee has pledged to run 1000 miles in 2016.
Bristan’s Bill Wilson has set himself the task of running 1000 miles over the coming year, aiming to raise £1000 for the charity – and with over half his target amount raised so far, Bill’s sprinting ahead.
Tamworth-local charity, Simon’s Heroes, works to support Staffordshire children with life-limiting illnesses, providing equipment and hosting fun social events for them and their families.
Commenting on the challenge, Bill said: “Simon’s Heroes is a fantastic charity which does so much for needy children in our local area, and I’m proud to be able to help them continue their amazing work.
“At Bristan, we believe that giving back is extremely important. Having raised funds for various national charities over the years, it’s great to be supporting a group that makes such an impact on our local area. As a business we hope to raise £30,000 for Simon’s Heroes over the next two years, and I would like to contribute at least £1,000 to that target with my run.”
