Wilo UK has announced the addition of an entry-level central heating circulation pump to its PICO range.
The company says that the launch of the Atmos PICO coincides with homeowners, landlords and social housing maintenance teams starting to gear up for another busy heating season, where pump breakdowns are becoming increasingly common.
The Atmos PICO uses energy-efficient EC motor technology to work based on demand, unlike older fixed speed pumps that run continuously. This helps to combat the challenge of older, inefficient pumps costing customers more money through higher energy use.
It also benefits from a compact design, to make installation and commissioning in an average-sized family home a simple task. An easy-to-use interface with three set speeds and an option to select variable differential pressure allows the pump to modulate to the requirements of the system, further ensuring efficiency and energy savings.
The pump also benefits from auto-venting and auto-deblocking and can be forced to vent manually by powering the unit off and then back on.
Andy Thompson, National Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating at Wilo UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Atmos PICO as the newest addition to our PICO family, which already includes the popular Yonos PICO and Stratos PICO pumps.
“Thanks to its unique technology and simple user interface, the Atmos PICO is the perfect entry-level product for family homes, particularly with heating season on the horizon. That being said, it can also be put into operation for air conditioning and cooling applications extremely quickly and easily.”
