Vaillant has unveiled its new high recovery, slimline uniSTOR cylinder range and accompanying buffer that can be integrated with the cylinder.
The complete range will be manufactured at the company’s new production site in Derby.
Available in a full range of slimline sizes, the high recovery uniSTOR cylinders come in both pre-plumbed and traditional models which are suitable for heat pump and boiler heating systems. The company says that for customers not quite ready to move to a heat pump immediately, fitting the new uniSTOR models now, will allow them to upgrade to a heat pump when the time is right in the future.
With this new range of uniSTOR cylinders Vaillant has also launched a complementary purpose-built buffer. Complete with patented inline technology when fitted with a heat pump, the buffer offers hydraulic decoupling, stores an additional heating capacity to use during peak demand, the functionality to de-ice the evaporator without the need for back up heating and improves the overall performance of the system. In addition, says the company, the buffer prevents frequent heat pump compressor cycling to improve the life of the system.
Thanks to its design the new uniSTOR cylinders allow for the buffer to be fitted either at the top or the bottom of cylinder, giving greater install flexibility, especially where space is limited, removing the need to fix onto the wall.

Our new, state-of-the-art site has been purpose built to manufacture our new range of high-recovery uniSTOR cylinders which complement any heat pump install. In addition, the new uniSTOR range can be installed with any Vaillant boiler, meaning homeowners not quite ready to transition a heat pump system, can make steps towards future proofing their homes.”
