Triton has strengthened its Omnicare family of inclusive shower solutions with the introduction of the easy-to-install Ultra and Ultra+.
The new line caters to customers with diverse needs, including accessibility challenges, and combines style with innovative safety functionality.
As the latest addition to the range, the Ultra has been designed to easily retrofit larger products that are often specified for use in care and social housing settings. Supplied with a practical fixing template, it is capable of overlaying the footprint of any other shower that may previously have been in situ, whilst also being straightforward to connect to existing water and cable entry points.
Such versatility means this model serves as a direct replacement without the need for further work or cost. This ensures that installation is as simple as possible and ultimately means engineers spend less time on site.
For peace of mind, both the Ultra and Ultra+ have been expertly and independently tested too. As a result, Triton’s Omnicare showers carry both RNIB and BEAB Care approvals for safety and performance.
A new-look tactile cover, which utilises soft grey tones and bold markings to help those with visual impairment, contributed to RNIB recognition. Furthermore, the BEAB Care Mark is proof that the products comply with additional safety and performance criteria for use in private housing, hospitals, and other care establishments
A number of accessories are also available on the Omnicare Ultra, which can be specified and installed depending on specific user requirements. For example, an additional grab rail can be put in to assist those who may be unsteady on their feet, or need additional support within the bathroom environment.
Equally, a remote Start/Stop function adds further assurance in care settings, while features such as the looped lever handle on the Ultra+ improve intuitive control, allowing ease of operation due to low resistance. Elements such as these are important considerations in being able to meet requirements within a brief, and ensure users are confident in the suitability of their bathroom.
Stuart Lane, Sales Director at Triton Showers, comments: “The Omnicare range has been designed to ensure maximum inclusivity across a range of applications. It is something that is particularly important in addressing the needs of Britain’s aging population.
“Crucially, we wanted to make sure sites which are undergoing refurbishment could take advantage of the many benefits the line has to offer, which is why we focused on ensuring the Ultra and Ultra+ are direct replacements for any other, older shower in bathrooms that simply need upgrading.”
The Omnicare Ultra range follows the launch of Triton’s recent Blueprint for Bathroom Safety guide, and illustrates the company’s commitment to providing high-performance showers for everyone, regardless of age or circumstance. As the number of people living in multi-generational housing continues to rise, this is an increasingly vital element of specification.
