Stiebel Eltron UK has announced it is extending its heat pump warranty in a bid to give consumers and installers greater confidence in the technology.
With statuary warranty for electrical items in the UK being one year, the company has increased its guarantees on its own-brand heat pumps to five years.
With interest in sustainable heating technologies growing among consumers, the extension of th company’s warranty, it says, will play a vital role in increasing the adoption of heat pumps across the UK throughout 2024 and beyond.
The five year warranty, which includes parts and labour, can be claimed on all Stiebel Eltron domestic heat pumps which have been registered with the company and fitted by a partner installer who has been trained at the company’s Bromborough training facility.
Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK Managing Director, said: “Consumers are increasingly looking to use sustainable heating technologies in their homes, so extending the warranty on our heat pump products made absolute sense.
“The technology is there and the products are readily available, so we want consumers to have absolute confidence that moving from a gas boiler to a Stiebel Eltron heat pump can be done without hassle at the point of installation and in the long run.”
