OMNIE has launched a new Knowledge Guide for homeowners, which aims to provide an overview of air source heat pumps (ASHPs) and explains how to steer customers through the complexities of benefitting from the government’s subsidy scheme.
Myths surrounding ASHPs are explored in the guide, which includes a Q&A section covering noise, siting and reliability issues which can be countered if the system is designed and installed correctly. OMNIE then moves on to the current £5,000 voucher being offered by government towards the cost of a new heat pump installation: encouraging homeowners to replace their fossil fuel appliances under its Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
