Martindale Electric has announced the launch of two new voltage tester and proving unit kits, the VT25PDS and VT28PDS, which include two pole voltage and continuity testers together with proving unit technology.
The newly designed kits incorporate either the VT25 or VT28 two pole testers, together with the Martindale PD690SRD proving unit, which has a stepped output to 690V (matching the levels used by the two pole testers) and a switchable AC or DC output.
This innovation is significant for engineers, particularly those working with DC systems such as electric vehicles and solar panels.
Martindale’s top-tier models, the VT25 and VT28 two pole testers in the kits, have enhanced features such as auto detection of AC/DC voltages ranging from 12V to 690V, continuity testing with both audible and visual alerts and phase rotation measurement capabilities.

Both models are equipped with LED voltage indicators and a white light torch function, facilitating easy operation in low-light conditions. The VT28 also has a high-contrast LCD for clear digital readings. Both units have double insulated cables designed to visually indicate wear or damage and are IP64 rated, reflecting their dust and splash resistance, adding to their reliability.
Included in each kit is the TC70 carry case, designed for convenience and protection, allowing the PD690SRD unit to be operated without removing it from the case.
