Smart room thermostat manufacturer, IMI, has introduced three new ‘next generation’ smart control and thermostat devices, to its IMI Heatmiser neo System.
The neoAir V4, neoStat V3, and neoHub Gen 3 devices from IMI Heatmiser contain technical hardware upgrades based on gathered user feedback, including changes to the device reset functionality and a 9V DC power supply, designed to ensure a more consistent power supply compatible with many homes.
The neoHub Gen 3 also includes Near Field Communication (NFC) capability which allows for pairing with a mobile device.
The neoAir V4 is a discreet programmable wireless thermostat boasting a 30% improvement on battery consumption and increased range to improve its connectivity in more complicated spaces within a home.
The neoStat V3 features a glass panel touchscreen designed for modern homes, and is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit allowing for voice command recognition.
These devices connect via the IMI Heatmiser neoHub Gen 3, the gateway which brings all neo System components together into a single network, and then be managed through the home’s broadband router via the neoApp or other compatible home automation.
Thomas Sheppard, Head of Product for IMI Heatmiser, says: “This next generation of products has allowed us to integrate key customer insight into the product design and capability. As smart devices become synonymous with how people control a growing range of functions in their life, it is important that manufacturers innovate and adapt to develop products that are simple to use, are compatible with common systems and networks while remaining energy efficient.
“With these new additions to the neo System IMI has been able to apply the engineering experience and technological expertise of IMI Heatmiser to place simplicity at the heart of home heating and cooling control system.”
