Elta Trade introduces DEXA 150 fan for residential buildings

With many consumers, landlords and letting agents looking to combat condensation, damp and mould problems in homes, Elta Trade has announced the launch of the DEXA dMEV 150 fan – the latest addition to the company’s portfolio of ventilation products.

The DEXA dMEV 150 is a continuously running extract fan designed to remove stale or moisture-rich air from spaces such as bathrooms, kitchens and WCs, helping to minimise the risk of condensation. The company says that with an airflow capacity of up to 50 l/s, the DEXA dMEV 150 exceeds minimum requirements outlined in Part F of the Building Regulations.

Building on the company’s DEXA dMEV 100, the new DEXA dMEV 150 has been designed to deliver increased airflow, enhanced versatility, and greater installation flexibility. With a larger diameter and improved performance, the company says the new fan caters to a wider range of applications.

Equipped with an EC motor, the DEXA dMEV 150 also features automation, including an intelligent timer and humidity sensor, which automatically boosts airflow when needed. The company says it has been designed for easy installation with flexible mounting options for walls, ceilings and windows — making it suited to both retrofitting and new builds.

Nick Higgs, National Sales Manager at Elta Trade, said, “With the DEXA dMEV 150, we’ve responded to a growing requirement for powerful, energy-efficient ventilation solutions that offer continuous air movement. Few manufacturers are producing fans in this category, and we’ve seized the opportunity to innovate. The DEXA dMEV 150 provides the flexibility, durability, and performance that contractors and specifiers need to meet today’s ventilation challenges and tomorrow’s regulations.”
