Baxi has launched the Baxi HP60 high temperature air source heat pump (ASHP). The unit can be integrated with solar PV battery systems for optimised renewables use. It also supports Baxi’s ASHP control options and the Baxi ASHP Pre-plumbed Cylinder. The controllers are OpenTherm compatible.
The HP60 features outputs from 4–13 kW, high-temperature capability up to 75°C at -10°C outside, and an A+++ efficiency rating at 35 °C across the range and at 55 °C for those up to 8kW. Noise performance is from 48 dB(A) sound power ErP and it uses R290 refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of three..
Each outdoor unit is supplied with an integrated expansion vessel, water pump and includes DHW and energy monitoring to help demonstrate system performance to homeowners.
The HP60 uses a simplified wiring setup with just two cables from the outdoor unit – one for power and one for communication to the indoor unit to the ASHP Control.
Rob Pearse, Residential Business Director at Baxi, said: “Combined with our training and on-site support, the HP60 paves the way for engineers to successfully add air source heat pumps to their offerings.”
Baxi’s latest ASHP comes with a two-year standard warranty, with the option to register for enhanced cover up to seven years (terms and conditions apply).
