Ahead of heating season, Worcester Bosch launched the Greenstar 2000 boiler – replacing the Worcester 2000. Designed for apartments and small to medium sized homes with one bathroom, the Greenstar 2000 built on the Worcester 2000 while including more technical upgrades. The main improvements included full 230v controls compatibility as well as an easier PRV push-fit connection. There are also copper tails, for CH flow and return, to ensure a quicker installation and the mains cable is also now replaceable.
The Greenstar 2000 also embraces many of the features from the previous Worcester 2000, including the ability to condense in hot water mode, easy access with removable side panels, maximum flue lengths of 9m horizontally and 12m vertically (60/100), a C6 heat exchanger – an evolution of the WB3 heat exchanger, and the ability to modulate down to as little as 4.8kW.
