In light of the current restrictions on movement due to the coronavirus crisis, Worcester Bosch has launched a set of digital training resources for installers across the UK.
Covering a range of topics in training sessions from gas specification to electrical safe isolation, Worcester Bosch is working hard to ensure installers have a way to continue expanding their knowledge during these difficult times.
After successful trial sessions with a number of Worcester Accredited Installers, the company is excited to begin extending these training sessions to a broader audience of installers.
Broadcast across its Skype platform, installers can ask real-time questions to a trainer who is happy to share as much expertise as possible.
The success of these sessions has led the Worcester Bosch Training Academy to establish a Facebook training hub for installers who can access the information whenever suits them, from wherever they are. The group, Worcester Bosch Training Academy, shares a range of information, from in-depth information on key areas of training for installers with end of unit assessments and quizzes, live streaming and the ability to ask the Worcester Bosch training team any burning questions.
The Worcester Bosch Training Academy Facebook Group will also provide its members with an updated timetable of upcoming Skype training sessions for the forthcoming weeks, including the ability to share feedback on sessions and the chance to submit requests for future training topics.
With limited access to each session, installers must share their interest in advance to book a slot on the ‘first-come-first-serve’ courses through emailing the training mailbox, available in the Facebook group.
While still in the early phases, Ewan Sutherland, National Training Manager at Worcester Bosch is excited to share the company’s knowledge with as many installers as possible: “Movement online is one of the few benefits during the current crisis. The integration of online platforms will help our industry to modernise and connect installers who may have never otherwise had the opportunity to.
“We want to bring the heating industry together, from apprentices to professionals with upwards of 20 years of experience. It has never been so important to share our successes and engage with the others in our communities.”
In order to sign up to the training sessions, installers must join the Facebook training hub which can be found here. Installers must enter their Gas Safe Register or OFTEC number to be accepted into the group. If you are an apprentice, you must be under direct supervision of a Gas Safe and/or OFTEC competent registered engineer.
