Vaillant Group is celebrating after being awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) Gold award. The award is achieved by only 7% of the 13,000+ UK organisations who are Investors in People accredited.
Vaillant was recognised for its approach to business strategy and people well-being, following an in-depth impartial assessment by IiP. Assessors praised the Group’s “culture of empowerment and trust” and “fantastic training,” calling the award “a much deserved achievement.” The business was also acknowledged for helping to fulfill staff’s training requests, such as completion of fully-funded MBAs, as well as its two-way communication during the appraisal and development processes.
The manufacturer employs 800 staff across seven sites in the UK within its award-winning factory, nationwide sales force, product training team and group of field engineers. Every member of staff is offered the same level of investment to enhance their development, which is coordinated via a structured HR system to ensure that training is received.
Neil Farish, at Investors in People, comments: “Vaillant Group has shown that people are the business and that a solid culture of support, trust and encouragement is evident. People continue to talk about how they have been supported in their development, in many cases right from the start of their employment and throughout their careers. People also feel proud to work for Vaillant and enjoy the many learning opportunities that are open to all staff regardless of job role or experience. Learning and development of people is seen as a way of gaining flexibility of the workforce and retaining the highly valued knowledge, skills and positive behaviours already developed within the organisation.”
Klaus Jesse, Managing Director for UK & Ireland at Vaillant Group, says: “We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved the Investors in People Gold award. All of the members of our team here at Vaillant Group play an integral part in our success, and this award is a fantastic recognition of their hard work and passion.”
Neil Partridge, Human Resources Director at Vaillant Group UK, adds: “As a business we are committed to supporting best practice and learning throughout the industry, which is why everything we do here is not only designed to help support the development and growth of our internal team, but also the installers that we work with. In addition to the learning opportunities we offer our staff, we also provide free training opportunities for installers across our seven Centres of Excellence.”
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to all members of our team and we hope to keep up the good work!”
