Marley Plumbing and Drainage is highlighting its creation of a large range of comprehensive BIM (Building Information Modelling) objects available from the Marley website or via BIMstore.
BIM has been hailed the future of the construction industry, as every party involved in a project will be able to work succinctly together thanks to the highly detailed 3D model and construction schedule. As such, BIM objects are essential to this process; they are the digital representations of the component parts of a building.
Marley has created 106 push-fit and solvent soil BIM files, as well as 47 solvent waste files, which have been developed with the help from its knowledgeable Technical Services department. The files can be accessed on either BIMstore or via the Marley website.
Samantha Park, Marketing Manager at Marley, said: “The use of BIM is mandatory on all government funded projects now and as such, we decided to create a substantial variety of BIM files for our most popular products to help our customers meet the Government’s demands.
“What’s more, after listening to customer feedback, we have grouped the files together rather then creating individual objects in order to make the downloading process quicker and easier.
“If users have any queries about the BIM files or the products, our technical services team will be on hand to help. Indeed, they are experts in BIM and can provide sound advice on our products. We also have a design service, which can be utilised by anyone using our BIM files or products.”
