The Golf Classic reveals details for 2019 tournament

Since its launch in 1993, the Golf Classic has attracted thousands of players from across the country, making it a significant networking event for the construction industry.

The 2019 tournament is set to be one of the biggest yet with great prizes on offer and more opportunities to win a place in the Grand Final.

The Belfry in the West Midlands has been announced as the venue for the 2019 Grand Final. Known for its award-winning courses, the Belfry has hosted more Ryder Cup tournaments than any other venue in the world. Recognised by the PGA as a world-class tournament course, the PGA National is described as a must for players who want to put their golfing skills to the test. All finalists will also be able to enjoy free golf, gala dinner, prize-giving and overnight stay.

There are lots of ways to win each year, with spot prizes on offer in each round – this will include branded golf balls, caps, umbrellas, a weekend golf break, and even the chance to take part in the Final for lucky losers.

Half price entry is also being offered for teams that introduce new teams to the tournament and the organisers are welcoming stories and anecdotes from the competition, which will be used to select a winning team to join the Final.

Two-player teams compete alternatively at home or away venues regionally with green-fees being shared, completing five knockout rounds in total. The Golf Classic team will handle the admin and matching, leaving players to enjoy the golf.

The tournament is open to those employed within the UK Mainland construction industry and entry costs £46 per two ball team. Email [email protected], call 01892 752300 or visit www.thegolfclassic.co.uk to enter online. Entries must arrive by the end of February and play tees-off in March 2019.

Marley Plumbing and Drainage have supported the tournament for 27 years and the Golf Classic team has also extended its thanks for the continuing support of the specialist UK construction press and media.
