Checkatrade has levelled up its existing complaints procedure, launching a new guarantee which offers homeowners who book a job via Checkatrade up to £1,000 if their job doesn’t go to plan.
This new proposition is a show of confidence in the quality of its members, who all must pass 12 checks before they can become a fully-fledged member.
The comprehensive guarantee covers sub-standard work which doesn’t meet industry norms or current regulations. Eligible work is covered for 12 months after the job has taken place.
CEO of Checkatrade, Mike Fairman, said: “It’s rare for something to go wrong when you book a job via Checkatrade, but if the unexpected happens then we’ll make it right. Our Checkatrade members have passed 12 rigorous checks and continually achieve ongoing positive customer reviews, proving their brilliance and expertise. This has given us the confidence to guarantee our members work up to the value of £1,000.
We’ve tested the guarantee in some areas of the UK and customers love our confidence in our trades and the added security of knowing we are on hand to help if their job doesn’t go to plan.”
Checkatrade’s guarantee went live on 30th September 2021 and will cover any work carried out from this date forward. More information can be found here
