The finalists for this year’s HIP Female Skills Competition have been announced. This year, six students have been chosen to compete in the Grand Final, set to take place at Stephenson College in Coalville, on 18th April.
During three regional heats in February and March, Level 2 and 3 plumbing students demonstrated their skills and this year’s regional winners are:

Maizie Williams, St Helen’s College
Ciah Hooch Llewellyn Davies, Gower College Swansea
Daisy Turner, Barking & Dagenham College
Megan Emerson, New College Durham
Zoe Tanner, Managing Director at HIP, commented: “The standard of skill shown by each competitor has been fantastic! Each student should feel immensely proud of their achievement in taking part. This event is an essential stepping stone in empowering women, boosting their confidence to take part in mixed-gender competitions and make a significant contribution to the trade. We’re thrilled to see such widespread industry support.”
