Warmflow explains how its Zeno Heat Pump and Nero Hot Water Cylinder were recently used to help create a sustainable and environmentally friendly home.
Award-winning manufacturer Warmflow has helped to boost the energy efficiency of a new build house with the fitting of its new Zeno air source heat pump.
The property owner set out to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly home which was practical, sleek and modern. Alongside much more to consider, she wanted a clean heating source that would efficiently and effectively heat this beautiful home as well as being environmentally sustainable. “I wanted a heating solution that would keep my warm, provide me with hot water as well as being environmentally friendly, and Warmflow Zeno Air Source Heat Pump ticked all the boxes.”
Touchscreen control
Installer Richard Bentley recommended this heat pump as one of the most intelligent and efficient heat pumps on the market. “The customer wanted the heat pump installed alongside a Warmflow Nero Hot Water Cylinder, this solution provides both heat and hot water. I selected the AS03 model of the Zeno heat pump range in order to meet the size demand of the property. The unit was dead easy to install and commission with the very clear, easy-to-use touchscreen controller. The unit itself also looks really well and suits the house perfectly.”
The home is 300m², with 240m² being heated living space. The solution to heat this large new build was the Zeno AS03 which outputs 20kW of heat energy, providing hot water temperatures of up to 60˚. This supplies the underfloor heating throughout the whole ground floor. Alongside the AS03 heat pump, the installer chose a Warmflow Nero 300 litre Hot Water Cylinder.
Renewable heating
GB Renewables Sales Manager Niel Rumbold said: “The Zeno Air Source Heat Pump units are a brilliant heating solution for new builds. They offer excellent energy savings and can help reduce the end user’s carbon footprint.”
He added: “In this case, the homeowner wanted a more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating solution for her home, and she has expressed her delight at the results. Underfloor heating had already been installed in the property, and heat pumps and underfloor heating systems pair together very well. This is because the underfloor heating requires lower flow temperatures of 35 degrees, meaning the heat pump in turn uses less electricity.”
Warmflow’s range of air source heat pumps harness natural heat energy from the air and offer features such as Warmlink – a remote control and diagnostic platform which comes as standard with all Zeno heat pump models. The installing engineer simply downloads the Warmlink app onto their phone, scans the unique QR code on the side of each appliance and is then able to remotely monitor, fault find and control the unit from anywhere in the world.
Warmflow also offer installers the chance to receive training in one of its seven training centres across the UK, which give in-depth training on the company’s Zeno Air Source Heat Pumps. Training involves installation, commissioning & troubleshooting.
