Saniflo has recently expanded its range of Sanicubic pumps. PHPI reports.

The Professional range of pumps and macerators from Saniflo is designed to provide tough solutions to the most demanding situations in both commercial and large domestic premises.

For instance, its four-model strong Sanicubic range has been designed to overcome drainage problems in unconventional applications almost anywhere including underground, at height or simply because it is more cost-effective to install such a unit than undertaking ground works for new drainage.

Sanicubic 1 is described as a robust macerator pump that has been designed to discharge waste from up to 2 WCs plus multiple grey water producing appliances. It features an external hard wired audio-visual alarm for early alerts to potential problems and has integrated non-return valves. With IP67 rating, the unit is even protected against temporary immersion in water.

Next in the range, Sanicubic 2 Pro features two separate, load balanced pumps with high performance macerating systems that will operate alternately. In the event of inflow overload both motors run at the same time or, in the unlikely event that one motor should fail, the other will take over to ensure total continuity of service. This unit has two alarms as standard for ultimate safety — one is hard wired, whilst the other is a high frequency wireless version that can be located remotely to suit the purposes of the property. The unit can also be connected to a Building Management System.

The Sanicubic Classic benefits from all the features of the Pro unit, but the secondary alarm is hard wired with a 5m cable for remote installation on jobs where the proximity of the alarm isn’t as critical.

Each of these Sanicubic models is fitted with two dip tubes; one tube controls motor operation the other controls the alarm system.

The latest addition is the Sanicubic XL — the largest lifting station yet in the Saniflo range with a 120 litre tank capacity which means it can take waste water from multiple appliances at any one time. Based on the proven Sanicubic range installed in domestic, commercial, retail and industrial premises throughout the UK, the XL is the first pump in the company’s range to use Vortex technology whereby the waste is broken down as it passes through the pump chamber rather than by cutter blades.

The unit can handle a huge 40m³ of waste per hour via two 2kW pumps, which allows Saniflo to compete for applications including full rows of toilet cubicles, urinals, showers, basins. Said to be easy to install, it can equally handle waste from kitchen appliances including dishwashers, washing machines and sinks.

Ann Boardman, Marketing Manager for Saniflo, comments: “We’re delighted to introduce this key piece of equipment in to our portfolio of products for the UK. It really takes us in to the larger commercial applications and offers another plumbing solution to architects, builders, installers and users alike.”
