PHPI takes on the COINS Three Peaks Challenge
This May, six plucky young(ish) hopefuls from Hamerville Magazines (home to Professional Heating & Plumbing Installer magazine) are taking on the COINS Three Peaks Challenge. Among their number is our very own Deputy Editor Mathew Thomas -- putting the 'ish' into young(ish).
The challenge
The concept is simple: scale the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales -- Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon -- and do it all inside of 24 hours. The application is the hard bit.

The cause
As the home of construction publishing we feel that supporting the COINS Foundation couldn't be more appropriate. The foundation's aim is to build communities where no member is excluded or disenfranchised by virtue of their health, impairment, education or poverty. The COINS Foundation aims to support projects which address local issues in a sustainable way.
A prime example of how the COINS Three Peaks Challenge helps communities is its current construction project in Haiti. Following the disasterous eathquake in Haiti, 20% of the funds raised has been allocated to a five-year construction program to rebuild homes in Cabaret on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince.

Donate
We've set ourselves the task of raising £7,500 for the COINS Foundation and we're not there yet. We're asking you to donate whatever you can afford to help us get motivated and help those in need of the work that the COINS Foundation works so hard to provide.
In the run up to the challenge on May 12/13 we'll be running a number of fundraising activities including a pub quiz and one of our number sacrificing himself with a sponsored wax!
You can donate at http://www.justgiving.com/Hamerville
We will, of course, be reporting back to let you know how the team got on.
