CIPHE members ‘make the difference’

From June 1st to 7th, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) will be joining organisations all over the country to celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2017.

Like many registered educational charities, the CIPHE relies heavily on volunteers from all walks of the industry. From participating in the CIPHE’s numerous working groups, helping to spread the word about membership, writing articles for the CIPHE’s publications, or taking on official voluntary roles on the Board or at Head Office level, volunteers make a real difference to how the Institute operates.

Membership Director, Tim Sainty commented, “The CIPHE wants to make the most of Volunteers’ Week by saying a big thank you to those members who dedicate their time and expertise to the Institute. We are lucky to have so many passionate people on board, who really care about the future of our Institute and the industry as a whole.”

This year’s Volunteers’ Week is once again celebrating those amazing people who do so much without expecting anything in return.

Kevin Wellman, Chief Executive Officer of the CIPHE commented: “During the last twelve months the CIPHE has seen an increase in volunteers which reflects the developments in our technical and membership activities and reinforces the adage that ‘Charity begins at Home’. My immense thanks go to all those who provide such proactive support to the Institute.”

Everyone has skills that they can put to good use in voluntary roles. If you are considering giving something back to the industry, the CIPHE has a wide range of roles available. If you would like to find out more about volunteering, email: [email protected] or phone 01708 472791.
